WA Seniors Card members can join a guided tour of Lake Cave for a discounted rate of $24.00.
Essential Information
Moderate physical exertion is required to enter and exit the cave. Throughout the tour, your guide will stop on platforms so that you can take a break and take in the view.
Children 16 years and under must be accompanied by an adult, and a minimum of two adults is required for each tour to proceed.
The temperature inside Lake Cave varies from around 14 degrees celsius – 17 degrees celsius throughout the year.
Inside Lake Cave, a tranquil lake mirrors the delicate crystal formations suspended above. It’s a magical experience and a dazzling visual display of some of nature’s finest work.
Descend a staircase through an ancient sinkhole known as a doline and into a sunken forest to reach this magnificent cave, which features dripping formations and a beautifully reflective underground lake.
Fully guided one-hour tours take you into a pristine chamber beneath the karri forest. Your guide uses lighting to highlight various features within the cave while sharing interesting facts and stories.
You will witness the rare ‘suspended table’ formation, a one-of-a-kind structure that hovers above a reflective lake.
This cave is the region’s most active ‘dripping’ cave, where droplets fall from delicate stalactites, creating ripples in the lake.
