Welcome to Hairy Dogs Fishing Camp! Set up on the banks of the mighty Ord River where fishing enthusiasts and nature-lovers will enjoy staying in our unpowered campgrounds or enjoy a Bush Dinner Breakfast Overnight Stay in our rooms.
The camp is located 1 hour’s 4WD from Kununurra or Wyndham on the Parry Creek Road, near the historic Bend of the Lower Ord River [Carlton Crossing]. Hairy Dogs Fishing Camp has a boat ramp where you can launch your boat for your fishing adventure. For those with larger boats, the public boat ramp is only 3 minutes away. The camp has a kitchen shelter, verandah dining, screened rooms and bunkhouse and a separate ablution block and river views.
From Hairy Dogs various day trips are available: travel to the picnic area at Spring Creek, enjoy the Old Halls Creek track or visit Marlgu Billabong [Parry Creek Lagoon] – a joy for birdwatchers and photographers. Ask for advice regarding barramundi fishing.
