WA Seniors Card members may be eligible for up to 25% rebate off your water service charges, capped at a maximum of $100 per financial year. This annual cap is distributed across the relevant service charges as follows:
Water service charges – $18.14
Wastewater service charges – $72.69
Drainage service charges – $9.17
WA Seniors Card members who also hold a Commonwealth Seniors Health Card may receive up to 50% off service charges, capped at $600 per annum.
How Water Corporation applies the concession:
1. Annual entitlement
All rebate amounts are annual caps over the financial year. This aligns with Water Corporation's concession framework and applies uniformly to eligible customers.
2. Pro-rata application on bills
Rebates are applied pro-rata across each billing period, based on a customer's billing cycle.
Customers who prefer to receive their full concession in a single bill may opt into annual billing through the Water Corporation.
3. Concession is per property, not per cardholder
The rebate applies once per household, regardless of the number of Seniors Card holders residing at the property.
Eligibility and the rebate amount are determined by:
the type of concession card held and
the percentage of property ownership
Where properties have multiple owners, the concession is applied according to each owner's percentage of ownership.
